We did it!!

"I feel like an achiever"...Emma says.  We hiked up to poo poo point.  It is a difficult trail.  The start is around 200ft and the summit is about 1800ft.  The distant from the bottom to the top is about 2 miles.  This makes the hike very steep.  It was our goal to reach the top this summer.

Monday we started off. It was a clear crisp day with a hint of autumn in the air.  We had lots of energy and pulled out our camera to take pictures.   Soon my heart started to beat faster.  This was a challenge.

"Think how strong we are and how strong our bodies are becoming.  Our bodies are saying thank you, thank you for stretching me and helping me to grow.  Our body loves this.  We are strong enough, we are smart enough, we have achieved many goals in our life and we can achieve this one too."
These affirmations helped Emma and I get to the top.  Joey could have done the trail 3 times in the time we did it once.

We had another wild life sighting.  An owl.  He would blink his eyes at us.  We were able to stand right under him.

The view from the top was breath taking.

When we got there a man was ready to jump.  He ran, let the wind fill his sail, turn and off the mountain he fell until the wind lifted him up so he could fly.  It was exhilarating to see.

The trip back down was just as hard.  We had to step carefully to keep from sliding.
We felt so great when we got down.

We did it!!!
