Saying goodbye to the Gingerbread houses

Christmas is now over and this is the way Joey wanted to get rid of his Gingerbread houses.
Unfortunately the air soft ammo wasn't up to the job.  The Gingerbread houses stood firm.  So much for building you house upon the sand or brick....it looks like Gingerbread is the strongest stuff.

We just had to throw them away.

Gingerbread houses

We made gingerbread houses with Sarah.
Joey made a real cool sled to go with all our houses

Here are our houses

Here they are.  They were fun to make.

November birthday

We also celebrated lots of birthdays.
First we celebrated my birthday.  Emma and Joey each wanted to make me a cake.  They did and both cakes were delicious!

Joseph turned 11 on Thanksgiving day.
We celebrated on Friday.
Friday was his day.

Emma's birthday was on Tuesday, but we celebrated on Saturday so everyone could be here and help her celebrate.

 Happy Birthday everybody!!

Let it Snow

The Monday before Thanksgiving Seattle was hit with a snow storm.
The High School was dismissed 1 hour early so that the buses could make it back to get the Elementary School kids on time.

Sarah flew in Monday night around 7pm and what usually takes us an hour round trip, took us three hours because of all the snow and ice.

They cancelled scouts...

..and they cancelled school on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Madison arrived on Tuesday in time to play with Joey in the snow.

They had fun.

Madison got a little cold but Joey stayed out most the day.  Thomas and his friends were out sledding.
Great way to start a holiday.
