Merry Christmas

We started Christmas off by saying goodbye to Madison, Calvin, Cassie and David.  They are spending Christmas with the Simpsons.  Here they are at the airport waiting for their flight with Santa Claus.
We found holly trees on a property that we had just purchased. Christmas Eve morning we ventured into the woods to harvest some holly.
We used the holy to set the table

The holly made great place cards this year
We ate early on Christmas Eve because the Seahawks were playing.  So we recorded the game to watch that night.

Good news, bad news. Good news is that Sarah, Tom and Lily got to join us.  Bad news is that the Bells were sick and I cut Sarah out of the picture. Shoot.   Tom Bell was out doing errands and joined us later.
Christmas Morning.  The calm before the storm.
(As you can see in the bottom of the picture Gus joined us this year.)

 But first Church

The opposite of a white Christmas it is a sunny and bright Christmas.
Henry doesn't need to open presents he thinks there just here for him to climb on.
Hailey is so excited

It was a musical Christmas for Joey he got a bass guitar and a drum kit.

Christmas Breakfast

Hot chocolate bar

but Henry just wants pop.

Adventure with Emma and Joey

Joey and I got into the Twin Peaks series and since Emma is in town we decided to give her a "Twin Peaks" tour.

Here we are walking to the bottom of the falls.
Then we went to the top of the falls
At the hotel.  Should we use a selfie stick or not?
Selfie sticks are NOT cool.
Inside the hotel lobby

I think selfie sticks are cool.
We had a great afternoon exploring the
 "Twin Peaks" falls and hotel.
Really the Snoqualmie falls and Salish lodge

Happy Birthday David

It is Davids birthday!
We celebrated his birthday and had a family white elephant exchange.
A charger and a Christmas necklace
This was pretty good.  It is a fake product.
When you open the box it says you've been tricked.  There is no such thing as a sleep hood.
There was actually chocolate in the box.

Maple syrup and a fly swatter
 Candy and a pillow case.
Wait...let's take a look at that pillow case close up.
David took a picture of himself sleeping and put it on the case so the person could have sweet dreams.
And a chocolate fish.
Happy birthday David and Merry Christmas Family

New Tree

We needed a table top tree this year because we have a toddler in the house. We will have a toddler next year too.  Henry and Lily.
To decorate this tree we choose new ornaments to represent each of the grandchildren and the three unmarried children.
A Penguin for Joey
This doll represents Madison
This doll for Hailey
Here is the Lily doll
This animal is for Calvin
Bradley is into foxes now
This little bird is for our Henry
This tent represents Thomas
And an E for Emma.
Even though it's a small tree we can still take nice family pictures in front of it.
We also planted bulbs this year.  Paper whites and amaryllis.  I planted them in glass containers so we could see their roots.  Come  on and bloom amaryllis because its almost Christmas.
