Let it Snow

The Monday before Thanksgiving Seattle was hit with a snow storm.
The High School was dismissed 1 hour early so that the buses could make it back to get the Elementary School kids on time.

Sarah flew in Monday night around 7pm and what usually takes us an hour round trip, took us three hours because of all the snow and ice.

They cancelled scouts...

..and they cancelled school on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Madison arrived on Tuesday in time to play with Joey in the snow.

They had fun.

Madison got a little cold but Joey stayed out most the day.  Thomas and his friends were out sledding.
Great way to start a holiday.

New Pictures

Matt and Susan had new family pictures taken
I love them

I hope I will get some for Christmas
I found these on Susan's facebook page
Susan credits Jon and Lynette.  If they are the photographers they did a great job.  Of course, they had a beautiful family to work with.

Halloween the final word

Here is how the grand kids celebrated Halloween
Madison was a bat and Calvin was a lobster.

Bradley was a pumpkin

Matt and Susan were pumpkins too.

Here he is awake.

October wrap up

We had a great Halloween.
It started for Joey with a  Halloween party at school.  This year he was a skeleton.
We carved pumpkins

I guess I should have been more focused on Emma and her knife rather than taking the picture.

Saturday we attended trunk or treat than Sunday we went trick or treating.
For dinner we made beef stew and cooked it in a pumpkin.

I forgot to take a picture of it until dinner was about over.   Happy Halloween.

Halloween

Conference weekend we did our traditional haunted houses.
These are some of the things we used.
This year we made the trees out of candy melts.

For the ghosts we separated nutter butter cookies and dipped them in white candy melt and added mini chocolate chips for their faces.

Here is  Joey's completed house.  He has a whole story behind his design.

As you can see there is one pumpkin with a face who left a trail in the "dirt".   Those are footprints you see going from the grave to the front door of the house.

This one is the one that Thomas did.

The lower one is Emma's.  She went for an abandoned look.
Happy Halloween!
